iTalk with Horses
This equine assisted program to helps low verbal or non-verbal children to improve their social communication skills. The child and caregivers participate in a 5-week program with a licensed speech-language pathologist, Tina Caswell, Clinical Professor from Binghamton University, and BU graduate clinicians, at our beautiful stable (Fargnoli Farms) with a team of supportive volunteers. During the riding sessions, the child can practice their communication skills in a motivating, engaging and fun environment! Caregivers are asked to participate and observe, so they learn how to help their child improve communication skills at home and in the community.

Youth partner with horses using experiential education to study the 7 Keys to Success. Youth design a civic engagement project to share with members of their community, while they receive counseling/support from uniquely qualified equine facilitators that can assist in the development of soft skills and/or work readiness skills such as communication, time management, personal presentation, teamwork, positive attitude, self-confidence, and leadership.
